Getting Started with Tonn API

Introduction

Tonn API is RoEx's powerful, AI-driven audio production engine, designed for seamless integration into software, services, and platforms. Whether you're an independent developer, a startup, or an enterprise, Tonn enables you to provide professional-grade mixing and mastering with minimal engineering effort.

With our Self-Service API, you can easily integrate AI-powered multitrack mixing and mastering into your product without complex setup or high upfront costs.

Step 1: Sign Up & Get Approved

To access the Tonn API, create an account and request API access via our API Portal. Once approved, you'll receive an API key, which is required for all API requests.

Step 2: Upload Your Tracks

Tonn API provides two options for handling audio files:

  1. Direct Upload (Recommended) - Use our /upload endpoint to get secure upload URLs - Upload your audio files directly to our temporary storage - Use the provided readable URL in your API requests - Files are automatically cleaned up after processing

  2. External Storage - Store your audio files on your own cloud service (e.g., AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage) - Provide public URLs when making API requests

Step 3: Integrate & Test

Once your API key is active, you can start making requests. Upon sign-up, you will receive 1,000 free credits to test the API. Explore our API Documentation to see detailed usage examples.

To simplify integration, we also offer a Python client library available on PyPI. You can install it using pip:

pip install roex-python

Step 4: Purchase Credits

Tonn API operates on a pay-as-you-go model. You can purchase credits through the API portal, with volume discounts available. Enterprise users processing more than 500 mixes or masters per month can contact us for a custom plan.

Step 5: Use Credits for API Requests

Each API request deducts credits based on processing complexity. Mix and master tracks in seconds with our cloud-based AI engine.

Step 6: Monitor Usage & Enable Auto Top-Up (Optional)

Track your credit balance via the API dashboard and enable Auto Top-Up to prevent service interruptions.
